Arctic Bath is a unique hotel experience near the village of Harads in Sweden. This floating spa hotel is surrounded by nature and has sustainability at its heart. There will be scenic cycling trails and hiking routes to explore beneath the glowing sky, followed by time to relax and unwind in Arctic Bath’s signature SPA ritual. Once fully restored, guests will savour locally inspired cuisine, all while immersed in the luminous light that never fades.
Jessica Clarén, founder of SHe Rides, one of the Nordic region’s fastest-growing networks for cyclists and like-minded adventurers, will be a special guest at the weekend.
“Midnight Sun Escape is for those of us who love cycling, but perhaps even more so what happens when we ride together,” says Clarén. “It is about breathing, laughing, sweating, and feeling the sun that never sets and returning home a little more ourselves.”
Midnight Sun Escape reflects Arctic Bath’s philosophy of combining movement with stillness, and activity with mindful rest, all grounded in deep respect for nature. Guided cycle rides through nature with stunning views of Storklinten will give a rare insight into the region, while a guided hike to the summit of Storklinten will let you see it from a different perspective. A chilled glass of sparkling wine will greet you at the top to toast the beauty of the Midnight Sun.
All that exercise warrants a little downtime, where guests will unwind in Arctic Bath’s signature sauna ritual, Julevädno – the Sami word for the Luleå River. This three-stage ritual combines cleansing, relaxation, and clarity through sauna meditation and cold bath plunging in the Luleå river. To finish the day, the Arctic Culinary Experience – a gourmet tasting menu crafted from seasonal local ingredients – is a luxury dining event that celebrates Nordic flavours.
