We took a closer look at a couple of pieces in the range — the ever-popular Idris Oversized Jumper and the Series Hoodie, which is a new addition to the collection this season.

While both pieces are from the men’s range, we see no reason why they can’t be unisex, and our model Aly fell in love with the Idris Oversized Jumper straight away. In dark navy, with Blakely emblazoned across the back from elbow to elbow, the super-soft fabric of the jumper — well, sweatshirt, actually — feels soft and warm without being too thick and cumbersome. It offers both style and comfort and can be paired with your favourite jeans and trainers for a fabulous casual look. 

The Idris Oversized Jumper has proved to be an extremely popular piece in the Blakely line-up and with good reason. It is now available in five colour options, from the dark navy we opted for to marl grey and warmer tones of bone, brown, and dark brown. 

Blakely Series Hoodie

Our second pick for a spring look is a new addition: the Series Hoodie. Thanks to the dropped shoulders, the Series Hoodie features what Blakely calls its signature relaxed shape. Rather than the overt branding of the Idris Oversized Jumper, it features a simple, subtle logo on the chest. 

The Series Hoodie is made from the same super-soft cotton blend, which has a brushed finish inside, providing the wearer with ultimate comfort. The pocket on the front is a handy addition, too, perfect for your phone and wallet if you’re out and about. 

Available in six colour choices, including black and white, pair it with matching Series sweatpants for the complete look. Whether you’re heading to the gym or just slouching around the house, you’ll look stylish and feel comfortable. 

For those wanting a more relaxed look this spring, Blakely will seemingly have something in its range to suit, from accessories and shorts to shirts, jackets and blazers. If the two items we’ve sampled are anything to go by, they’ll all be great quality and reasonably priced, with plenty of style thrown in for good measure.
