As a new parent, there are plenty of things to be stressed about, but Nanobebe believes that the feeding routine shouldn’t be one of them. Whether you’re combining breast and bottle feeding, or weaning from breast to bottle, getting the bottle to suit your baby can be a challenge.
Nanobebe has developed a range of baby bottles
that might be exactly what you’ve been looking for. The bottles are made from a flexible, natural, food-safe silicone material, which gives babies a familiar feeling in their hands, comforting them during feeds and making it a less stressful experience.
The teat has unique anti-colic 360° triple-vented technology, which is the first of its kind. This advanced design prevents collapse of the teat, ensuring that your baby stays latched on correctly, able to suckle continuously while taking in less excess air, and having fewer issues with gassiness and reflux after a feed.
Available in either 150ml or 270ml sizes, the bottles are dishwasher and microwave-safe, so even clean-up and sterilisation is quick and easy.
We tried the bottles out with four-month-old twins and found that both babies fed better and more calmly with the Nanobebe bottles than regular plastic bottles. They loved holding and touching the bottles while feeding, taking more milk down with less fidgeting and fussing. After the feed, they settled better, too, which we put down to the effectiveness of the anti-colic teat.
With the bottles being made from silicone, which has heat-resistant properties, Nanobebe recommends warming the baby milk before it’s put into the bottles. In our experience, however, filling the bottle with milk and then warming it by standing it in hot water works well, if just a little slower, than with standard bottles. It certainly didn’t put the babies off, even if they had to wait a few extra minutes for their feed.
If your little ones are fans of a soother, then the Flexy Active Soother 4m+ by Nanobebe is one to look at, particularly during teething. That extra teething dribble can get trapped and cause redness and sore patches, but the Flexy Active Soother design has air vents at each side, which stop that from happening, allowing plenty of airflow and preventing rubbing. It’s lightweight and constructed entirely from flexible materials, durable and easy to clean while still giving comfort when needed. The only downside is that there is nowhere to attach a dummy clip to prevent it from being dropped while you’re out and about.
Our little product tester was more concerned with smiling than suckling on the soother, but it was a great shape for little mouths, and we could see immediately the benefits of the large vented sides.
Nanobebe products might be a little more expensive than some other bottles and soothers, but the materials are excellent quality and extremely durable. If the reaction of our twin testers is anything to go by, they are worth that little bit extra for a hassle-free, more relaxed feeding experience for both babies and parents.
